🎴 What is the Lenormand
The Lenormand (named after French cartomancer Marie Anne Lenormand) is a system of 36 cards distinct from Tarot. While Tarot is rich in psychological and archetypal symbolism, the Lenormand is more direct and concrete in its answers.
Each Lenormand card has a well-defined core meaning — for example, Card 1 (Rider) brings news and arrivals; Card 6 (Clouds) represents confusion and doubt. The magic of Lenormand lies in combinations: cards read in sequence or pairs create meaningful phrases of their own.
A fundamental difference: in Lenormand there are no reversed cards. All cards are read upright, and context is given by the surrounding cards, not the card's orientation.
